I'm inclined to believe that our souls are reincarnated after our deaths; that each life is just another turn of the cycle. It has nothing to do with religious beliefs. In fact, I'm as secular as one gets. Reincarnation just makes sense.

What got me on this train of thought are the various duplicates around here. There used to be more a few months back, but there's always at least one in the City. Two entirely different people with the same face. Appearance seems to be the only thing connecting these individuals, as their personalities and memories are usually completely disconnected.

I wonder if maybe these doubles could possibly be reincarnations of each other. They may exist at the same moment, but with all the different worlds out there, we can't expect time to always sync.

...Of course I'm just shooting my mouth off, but you can't say it's not interesting to think about.
