[ What this is is a photograph of an apartment building, couches, lamps, books and tables in their proper place, except for two cats floating in the air. One's upside down, the other is right side up and both seem moderately pissed. Okay, scratch that. Tremendously aggravated. ]

[ Right now this is the Blue Light. Maybe not so theatrical and obviously CGI'ed, but you get the picture. Floating patrons, amber ale and colorful cocktails suspended in mid-air, patrons swimming-- spinning in the air like spacemen in the galley of a rocket ship.

Amory's a little more stable than the rest, floating a few inches off the ground as he mixes together a Tom Collins. The only way this is getting done is with a hand over the top of the cup to keep the drink from leaking out. A bottle of Gin and Seltzer water float handily next to him. Even then, the drink is probably not mixing right, each component like oil on top of water (air, in this case). Thankfully, no one seems to care in the midst of this curse-- or they order other things.]

I thought a flight in a Vomet Comet would be as close to zero gravity I'd get.

[ He's clearly talking to himself, the bar patrons too engaged in catching their floating drinks to bother him. ]

[ Admittedly, he finds her wands tricks sort of neat at times. He's grown up with his mother's own oddities, in such a way that his reaction to her spells barely contain surprise. The magic itself is not the same, but the act of performing absurdities? Perfectly congruent. ]

Maybe for you. [ And for me. A few months, actually. But things are looking better- curses that seemed horrible and were horrible at the time, actually had after effects quite contrary. ] You've got to learn to tune things out, to survive here.

[Ginny's fond of quirkier magic. Mostly because her time spent with spells lately, back home, have always had something to do with the war effort. So the chance to go back to ridiculous and fun charms are a nice holiday for her. With one particularly intoxicated patron, the witch has a bit of mischief - come on, making the guy swim after his blob of booze is hilarious.]

Bit hard to tune out monsters when they're right on top of you, though.

[This said lightly, off-hand. There's a pause, then Ginny moves on.]

You doing alright, then? [Glancing over.] Looks like you're juggling things pretty well over here.

[ At least you're not turning anyone's snot to bats. ]

You got out alive, at least?

[ There's a detached shrug at her inquiry ]

What can I say? I don't involve myself in anything, and I stay pretty damn safe. A year a few months, and barely a ripple in the water.

[She already used that threat on Chase, anyway.]

[Ginny twirls her wand idly between fingers, letting it throw harmless gold sparks as she considers his response then twists in the air to face him, brow quirked.]

You can't have been here a year and a few months and get away completely fine. I mean, alright, say you aren't stupid enough to get involved. There's still curses.
