Shit-

[there's the sound of glass shattering and the clatter and static of a communication device as it hits the ground. His voiced is strained as he speaks]

...As if my day wasn't already in the gutter.

[a long pause, marked by heavy breathing.]

Where did I put that-

[ooc: So, er- Amory has a condition in which he has random attacks like this. He dealt with it privately all these months, but this time its a rather severeattack. And of course, he's accidently turned his communicator on.]

I guess I have now. What's up with your stomach?

Does he have a practice in the city?

He can also give you problems that will make the stomach pain worse. You shouldn't be seeing him without another doctor's referral.

Could have said you were House's patient. I'm sure he's the last person to recklessly prescribe vicodin.

[ooc: lol, he's had worse nicknames ;)]

[identity profile] worksmart.livejournal.com 2009-08-07 07:19 am (UTC)(link)
Not quite the definition we use. But like I said, he's the last person. I'm sure you're fine.

[identity profile] worksmart.livejournal.com 2009-08-07 07:52 am (UTC)(link)
I was planning on it, but now you've made it seem like I'd be doing you a favour.

[identity profile] worksmart.livejournal.com 2009-08-07 08:16 am (UTC)(link)
Lets just say the attitude makes me less inclined to do you favours. I'm a doctor when someone asks for my help. You've been pretty clear that you don't.

So what's up with your stomach?

[identity profile] worksmart.livejournal.com 2009-08-07 08:43 am (UTC)(link)
Nope. Sorry.

What's causing the pain?

[identity profile] worksmart.livejournal.com 2009-08-07 09:03 am (UTC)(link)
[He's getting used to the magical ailments - and he does work with Eden, so this isn't particularly surprised.]

House told you the only treatment for your genetic disorder was palliative?

[identity profile] worksmart.livejournal.com 2009-08-07 09:15 am (UTC)(link)
[You should meet all the mutants on his patient list, Amory.]

Did they have doctors equipped to understand your problem, back home?

[identity profile] worksmart.livejournal.com 2009-08-07 09:37 am (UTC)(link)
[Chase can appreciate wanting to be cagey about his personal life. Not that, working with House, he's ever managed it.]

I keep a practice at the hospital, four days a week. I don't care if you want to sit around and suffer through whatever you've got, but if you do come in and say 'Doctor, I'd love your help' you'll get the confidentiality that comes with that. Not saying I can fix you, just that there's not too much I haven't heard.

[identity profile] worksmart.livejournal.com 2009-08-07 10:54 am (UTC)(link)
Sounds like you'll get through a lot of glasses if that's all you need, but it's no skin off my nose.

Your court.

Big on the guessing games, aren't you.
